My name is Alexx. I’ve been a vegan for a little over 2 years now and one of my favorite things about being vegan is the fact that I can experiment with so many wonderful, cruelty-free ingredients to cook and bake amazing things. I would like to share my recipes with you, as well as record my own experiences with veganism, vegan nutrition, and cooking.
I aim to make my recipes as simple and inexpensive as possible, as the vegan movement has undoubtedly been marked as a movement for the privileged, and while that is unfortunately largely true, a cruelty-free diet does not have to be only for the upper class. Hopefully, my recipes will help change the idea that veganism is only for those who can afford expensive meat and dairy substitutes. While I do use some “substitute ingredients” such as soy milk (which, in many parts of the world, isn’t even associated with abstaining from meat or dairy), I will not use ingredients that are very extravagant or difficult to find (really, I hate recipes with those as much as anyone).
